Tribe Roman Morga Renaissance Gypsies explores the lives of Travelers during the 15th and 16th centuries through live music and dance derived from the rich folk traditions of Europe and the Middle East. Through exciting performances and historical reenactment, the Tribe specializes in Middle Eastern dance, music and Gypsy folklore and regularly performs at Renaissance festivals and other events.
The Tribe consists of over fifty talented individuals, including dancers, musicians, vocalists, actors, fortune tellers, face painters and much more. The Gypsies' lavish and colorful costumes make for a visually stunning display, and their live music and dance performances always draw a crowd.
The beating of drums and the ringing of finger cymbals herald the entrance of the Tribe, as beautiful dancers move through the crowd and musicians play primal beats and exotic melodies inspired by Middle Eastern, European and African music traditions. A stage show quickly follows, featuring original music and dance choreographies.
As
space permits, Tribe Roman Morga will erect its Gypsy encampment and provide
entertainment throughout the day in the form of dancing, drumming, face painting,
fortune telling and authentic Renaissance games. Some Gypsies may tempt you
with unique, beautifully crafted jewelry, original artwork and other treasures
created by skilled Tribe artisans.
