Technical Details

Tribe Roman Morga is currently self-hosting our web page using a Hewlett-Packard Pavilion 6330 on a 300MHz AMD processor. Yes, you read that right, a 6330 that HP says cannot be used on a network (an incompatiblity in the floppy driver on the motherboard). With some tweaking and sacrificing the floppy drive (who needs one of those any more?) the 6330 is happily accepting the network card.

The server is running Fedora Core 1 and Apache server.

Our bulletin board is phpBB2.0.7 utilizing both a public forum and private cast forum. Please visit it and give us some feedback.

My Philosophy on formatting

I have attempted to make sure the pages work reasonably well on most common browsers. The site has been tested on IE 6, Netscape 7.1, Firefox 0.9, Opera 7.5.2 and Mozilla 1.4.1 under Fedora Core 1. There is no guarantee that all of the bells & whistles will work across all browsers since the publishers insist on NOT following the standards--but that's a soapbox for another type of website. For example, Opera & IE have strange spacing in the Scrapbook while everyone else behaves.

The page layout is aimed at a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher on the assumption you have a relatively up-to-date graphics capability.
